香港教育大學（教大）為一所政府資助大學，提供副學位、學士學位、修讀式學士后及研究生等全方位課程。本校傳承多所前師范院校在教師教育方面的深厚基礎，致力為本港學校培訓優秀教師。每年，約有一千名專業的學前、小學及中學教師于本校畢業，而本港逾八成已完成培訓的幼稚園及小學教師，以及三成已受訓的中學教師均為本校畢業生。我們更是發展特殊教育的先鋒。自2003/2004年度行政長官卓越教學獎設立以來，七成半獲獎者亦為本校畢業生。在2019Quacquarelli Symonds(QS) 世界大學學科的最新排名中，香港教育大學再教育領域位列全球第九、亞洲第二（僅次于排名全球第七的香港大學）。
